Baroque Period: Peacock (Printmaking)
Printmaking was a premier style of art during the Baroque Period (1590-1720). Elaborate carvings were often made. The carving could be rolled in ink and then used to make multiple prints of the same design. Some of the art created in this period is incredibly beautiful and intricate. In this project Sharon will teach students to use rubber instead of wood to carve the design into. She will then teach students how to take the basic print and enhance it with color to create a fine art art masterpiece. This project is a Level 2 in difficulty.
