Byzantine Period: Eagle in Profile (Millet Seed Mosaic)
Notes:
The millet seed comes in white and red. Get some of both. You won’t need a lot to create a smaller mosaic but you can use them to create many different projects with ease. You will use a frying pan to slow roast some of the seeds. This is how you will create the middle or dark values of millet seed color. Remember to watch Lesson 1, Section 1 for more information on supplies.
The glue will be applied to certain sections as you work on them. The pointed tool will allow you to move around the seeds in the glue.
The Press or matboard should be black. Sharon uses 5″x5″ in the video but you can use whatever size you like.The matboard comes in a large sheet and should be cut down to the size you desire.
