Old Brushes: The hot wax will ruin your brushes for anything other than applying hot wax. So get out your old brushes or cheap ones for this project.  Do not use brushes with plastic handles as they will melt.  Students can share these brushes.

Rice Paper: The White Tailed Buck in Level 5 is currently the largest Batik in the program. It uses 12″x18″ Rice Paper. If you buy that size paper you can cut a sheet from that paper pad down to whatever size you need for this project.

Wax Paper: Use this as a foundation paper in which to lay your rice paper.  It will also keep the wax from getting on your table.
