Old Brushes: The hot wax will ruin your good brushes so find some old brushes or cheap ones to use. Do not use brushes with plastic handles as they will melt.  You can share these brushes.

Rice Paper: The White Tailed Buck in Level 5 is currently the largest Batik in the program. It uses 12″x18″ Rice Paper. If you buy that size you can then cut it down to whatever size you want for this project or the Tree Frog in Level 4.

Wax Paper: Use this under your project on so that the wax doesn’t stick to the table.

Hot Pot:  Four students can easily access the pot with wax if they are across the table from each other.
