Lessons in Batik: Tea Time

Ever since Creating a Masterpiece began students have been asking Sharon to teach them Batik. The supply list is the same for every Batik project in our program. This method of painting is widely used throughout Africa to dye material for clothing.  Batiks are usually done on cotton material though rice paper has become popular the last couple years in the fine arts. In this project Sharon shows students how to use hot wax, watercolor, and rice paper to create a magnificent piece of artwork.
