Lessons in Charcoal: Ornery Ostrich

Did you know that an Ostrich can’t fly, but it can run over 40 miles per hour. It does not bury its head in the sand as some think, however, it looks like it does this when the bird puts her head in a hole and turns it’s eggs several times a day. The ostrich is a funny and unmistakable bird. In this project students will learn how to create a basic sketch of the ostrich and add texture and value with charcoal.
