Neoclassicism Period: An Apple A Day (Oil Painting)
The Neoclassicism Period of art emphasized simplicity and symmetry. It captured the imagination of the 18th – 19th century because of the archaeological finds that were being discovered in that time. The unearthing of ancient Greek artwork led many to want similar artwork. In this project Sharon will teach students the basics of neoclassical style while working through this oil painting.
