In the farming areas of the United States many families wake up to the crow of the rooster. They strut around the yard as if they are the king of the acreage. They are regal and filled with lots of color. That’s why it is so fun to paint them! In this exciting project Sharon will teach you how to use your soft pastels to make the rooster come alive. You will learn how to sketch with simple shapes and then proceed with the under-drawing. Then you will lay down the pastel using many layers in order to make it appear round and fluffy. During this project you will gain confidence and speed as you incorporate the principles taught into your own artwork.
