Romanesque Period: Rose Window (Colored Marker)

The Romanesque period of art lasted from approximately 1000 AD to 1150 AD. It was championed by monastic orders seeking to communicate spiritual truth. Many of the remaining sculptures and stained glass windows are treasures and are instantly recognizable as coming from that time. The period artists specialized in semi-circle glass windows and door arches. It was eventually replaced by Gothic style art. Join Sharon in learning the geometrically proportioned form of fine art drawing as you create the Rose Window in the style of the Romanesque artists. This project is a level 3 in difficulty.
