Now you can with our Art History Program pairing historical works of art with timeless techniques — and all right at your fingertips. The Art History Program presented by Creating a Masterpiece is a fun, engaging addition to art history studies. Instead of just reading about the greatest masters of art, jump into the studio and recreate their masterpieces!
This program features three types of projects divided into three levels:
- The first type of project teaches the styles of art in history. Projects at this level are designed for students to learn how to create fine art that looks like famous art styles from the past.
- The second type of project is historically themed. These projects are designed to be fun additions to your study. The subject of a historically themed project may be a ship in a lagoon representing the Spanish Exploration of the New World, a profile of a North American Chief representing life in Early America, and more to come.
- The third type of project is a Capstone Project. These projects are meant to teach how to recreate historic masterpieces. It is taught at a masterpiece level.

Sharon founded Creating a Masterpiece based on her proven fine art system she developed over 20 years of teaching at her in-person art school. Sharon encourages artists of all ages to experience art projects that will inspire true confidence and teach actual fine art skills.

I am not an artist and worried that my kids might follow my poor example. Creating a Masterpiece has been a game-changer in our family! We love the variety of projects available through the course as well as learning how to use so many different mediums. (media?!) I even enjoy sitting down and doing the projects right alongside my children.
Art teaches kids so much! It helps them think about creating beauty in the world, noticing beauty in the world, focusing on details, improving their hand/eye coordination, and so much more! The projects in Creating a Masterpiece are BEAUTIFUL! The kids love doing them and love how they turn out. The Art History piece is a GEM! There is way too much content included to ever do in a year; but it just keeps getting better and better.
We have loved creating masterpiece! The kids are always amazed at how nice their artwork turns out, even better than they expected. Sharon is an excellent teacher and so good and explaining everything step by step. I was a little worried that the projects looked too hard, but it has been great for our kids, ages 7 to 17.
